Today, we want to shine a spotlight on 10 special women-owned small businesses that are doing a little more for the economy and community by giving back. These businesses give back to their communities and support causes that are close to their hearts. When you support these Women Owned businesses by buying their products, you are also giving back to those in need and to important causes.
SmartyPits makes aluminum-free deodorant that is also free of parabens, phthalates, and propylene glycol. Formulated by the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, SmartyPits gives a portion of sales back to breast cancer research and survivor support.
White Lion Tea makes a variety of teas as well as coffees, including gift sets and tea accessories. Their mission in giving back is centered around economic empowerment. White Lion Tea provides scholarships to girls in Kenya in the villages and regions where their coffee and tea is grown.
AnaOno provides intimate solutions and a community for women looking for comfort and support, especially after breast surgery or treatment, often related to a breast cancer diagnosis. The line is designed with your breast health and bodies in mind, and is a great solution for chronic pain, breast surgery, and other skin sensitivities. AnaOno donates and sponsors numerous nonprofits that support breast cancer survivors including METAvivor, Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), the Breasties, and Pink Warrior Angels Hills Country. With a partnership with WATERisLIFE, they donate a gallon of water to a community without ease of access to drinking water for each product purchased. They have since raised enough funds to build two wells in communities in Kenya and are now aiming to construct a total of 10 wells by 2020.
