March Madness is here! Your bracket is set, you’ve picked your upsets, and you’re ready to cheer on your favorite team. Now let’s eat! Game time just isn’t the same without some delicious appetizers, so whether you’re planning to watch the games at home or you’re planning a March Madness watch party, try out these yummy appetizer recipes featuring Women Owned products to wow your family and friends.

Mediterranean Nachos

8 oz bag Regenie’s Pita Chips

1 cup Soom Foods tahini

1 tsp. garlic salt

½ cup Lemon juice

1 tbsp. Olive oil

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. cumin

2 cups Mozzarella Company Goats Milk Feta Cheese

Salsa (Try My Brother’s Salsa or Naked Infusions)

Choose your Produce Toppings: Try Southern Valley, Frey Farms, Mann’s Veggies Made Easy or Kegel’s Produce

  • Red: tomatoes, red bell peppers

  • Orange: orange bell peppers

  • Yellow/gold: yellow bell peppers, banana peppers

  • Green: jalapenos, green onions, cilantro, cucumbers

  • Blue: boiled red cabbage (it turns blue!)

  • Purple: eggplant, red cabbage, Kalamata olives, red onion

  • Black: black olives

  • White: white onion, artichoke hearts, mushrooms


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spread Regenie’s Pita Chips on 2 large baking sheets in single layer. Combine Soom Foods tahini, garlic salt, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, and cumin. Mix well. Add water as needed for consistency. Spread mixture over chips evenly. Bake for 5 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with feta cheese. Let guests add their own toppings. Serve with salsa.

Serve toppings in bowls organized by color so basketball fans can make their nachos to match their team colors!

Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs with Marinara Dunking Sauce

Cook Time: 15 min.


2 lbs ground beef

1 egg

½ cup Aleia’s Gluten Free Italian Bread Crumbs

1 tbsp. Heather’s Dirty Goodness Original seasoning

2 tbsp. water

2 cups fresh Mozzarella Company Mozzarella Balls

¼ cup Chedz

Sour cream if desired

1 jar Galassi Sweet Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce for dipping


Preheat oven to broil. Line large baking sheet with foil and cooking spray. In large mixing bowl, combine beef, egg, Aleia’s Gluten Free Bread Crumbs, Heather’s Dirty Good Original seasoning, and water. Crush Chedz into fine powder, place crumbs on plate. Scoop out 1 tablespoon of mixture, wrap around 1 Mozzarella Company Mozzarella Ball. Make sure to completely cover cheese with meat mixture and then roll meatball in Chedz crumbs. Place crusted meatballs on baking sheet. Repeat until all of the mixture is formed into crusted meatballs. Broil 15 minutes. If desired, draw basketball lines on meatballs with sour cream. Serve with Galassi Sweet Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce for dunking.

Bloody Mary Hot Wings

3 lbs Chicken Wings

1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil

1 tsp. Celery salt

1 tsp. Pepper

1 tsp. Garlic salt

¾ cup Brown sugar

1/2 cup Fast Mary’s Bloody Mary Enhancer

3 cups Natalie’s Orchid Island Carrot Tomato Juice

½ cup Crooked Water Simple Vodka


2/3 cup Sour Cream

2 tsp. Horseradish

2 tsp. Chopped Dill


In a large bowl, combine the wings, vegetable oil, celery salt, and black pepper. Mix well. In a separate bowl, mix Fast Mary’s Blood Mary Enhancer, Natalie’s, Orchid Island Carrot Tomato Juice, brown sugar, garlic salt and Crooked Water Vodka. Pour wet mixture over wings, cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spread wings on baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes. Pour remainder of marinade into a medium saucepan and simmer over medium heat 15 minutes until reduced to a thick sauce. Brush wings with sauce and broil for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

Meanwhile combine sour cream, horseradish and chopped dill in small bowl for dipping. If you are feeling extra fancy, serve dip in small plastic cups with a basketball net drawn on the outside with sharpee.

Basketball Cake Balls

2 boxes of The Piping Gourmets Vanilla Cake Whoopie Pies (8 whoopie pies)

6 oz. orange candy melts

Black icing pen or decorating gel


Place all 8 whoopie pies in a bowl or food processor. Mix whoopie pies until the pies are blended and form small crumbs – about 2 minutes. Scoop crumbs out 1 tablespoon at a time. Roll into tight balls and place on wax paper. Repeat until all crumbs are in tight balls. Refrigerate the cake balls for 10 minutes. Melt candy melts in microwave on 50% for 1 minute. Quickly coat cake balls in melted chocolate and place back on wax paper. Draw basketball lines on balls with black icing pen/decorating gel. Refrigerate 5 minutes or until coating is completely hardened.
