1) Q: What is the purpose of this logo?
A: The logo was created to bring consumer recognition of products created by women-owned businesses on store shelves both in the U.S. and international markets. The goal of the logo is to make consumers around the world aware of the great products from Women Owned businesses, and in turn help these women continue to grow their businesses.
2) Q: Who is eligible to use this logo?
A: Any WBENC-Certified or WEConnect International Certified business in good standing may utilize this logo under trademark. This means any business using the logo is at least 51 percent owned and operated by a women.
3) Q: I’m a Certified-WBE and would like to use the logo, how do I get started?
A: You can obtain the logo and guidelines on how to use it through your certifying agency. If you are certified through WBENC you can access it through WBENCLink, if you are certified through WEConnect International you can request the link by emailing email@example.com.
4) Q: My business is not certified by WBENC, how can I get certified?
A: WBE Certification is conducted by region in the United States. For more details on the certification process, please visit wbenc.org/Certification for a U.S. based business, or visit weconnectinternational.org/en/get-certified for an internationally based business.
5) Q: What if I am a certified WBE using the logo but I’m not listed on the Certified Products page?
A: Please contact David Gifford-Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org (WBENC-Certified WBEs) or email@example.com (WEConnect Certified WBEs) and a staff member will work with you to add you to the webpage.
6) Q: What if I am not a certified WBE, but still wish to support the initiative?
A: To directly support a Women Owned Business you can shop at Walmart and other retails who recognize the new Women Owned Logo. For other organizations who wish to provide support please contact David Gifford-Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
