Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of the Logo?
The Logo was created to bring consumer recognition of products created by women-owned businesses on store shelves both in the U.S. and international markets. The goal of the Logo is to make consumers around the world aware of the great products and services from Women Owned businesses, and in turn help these women continue to grow their businesses.

Who is eligible to use the Logo?
Any WBENC-Certified or WEConnect International Certified business in good standing may utilize the Women Owned Logo under trademark. This means any business using the Logo is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

I’m a certified WBE and would like to use the Logo, how do I get started?
You can obtain the Logo and guidelines on how to use it through your certifying agency. If you are certified through WBENC, access the Logo and guidelines on WBENCLink2.0. If you are certified through WEConnect International request the Logo by emailing logo@weconnectinternational.org.

My business is not certified by WBENC. How can I get certified?
Certification validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, operated, controlled and managed by a woman or women. For details on the certification process and how to get started, please visit wbenc.org/certification for a U.S. based business, or visit weconnectinternational.org/en/get-certified for an internationally based business.

What if I am a certified Women Owned business but I’m not listed in the Women Owned Business Directory?
